I first heard of VirtualBox because of a story on Digg. So I looked into it.
VirtualBox is an interesting piece of software and virtual machines are a great way to add extra machines without having more hardware. Recently I’ve been looking into setting up a few virtual machines just to toy around with. Different Linux distros on the same machine would be a nice trick for this. And being as there are few good solutions in the virtual machine market, VirtualBox should be a nice competitor for VM Ware.
Most importantly, it’s FREE.
