I came across a handy website which offers online filing service to start corporations in all 50 states. The name of the site is INC Paradise. As I’m getting started in Web Design I have had to start looking into options for creating a company. To begin with, I’m just going to set up a Sole Proprietorship as I have no liability to speak of being a free lancer. However, whenever I start growing and looking into hiring other people to work with me, and possibly needing business loans, an L.L.C. will probably be my best bet.
The site has a F.A.Q. covering the differences between entities like an LLC, Corporation, S-Corp, S-corp. and so on.
Also, there is a page which will help suggest which business structure might be best for you, and your new business.
Information for incorporation in all 50 states is readily available and easily accessed. Check out their pricing list for details.
Their cost of only $89 + state fees for doing all necessary paperwork to start a corporation in any state is incredibly reasonable. I worked for a lawyer for a short period of time, and set up several L.L.C.’s and I can guarantee you would be looking at spending well over $1,000 to do what they are offering for a few hundred.
INC Paradise also offers an affiliate program for people who want to work with them to make commission on incorporation services. You can read about that on their Opportunities Page.
Just a few days ago I found PayPerPost.com or PPP for short. I love to write, and I started my first blog on Blogger.com 3 years ago. It’s still there, and says the first post I made was on September 30, 2004.
I created this blog, ERB Tech, when I created my hosting. Setting it up with WordPress was a snap, and gave me exponentially more control over my content and setup. I have been adding to it ever since.
Only recently did I think about writing for money. I’ve always fancied myself a decent writer. You can judge for yourself by reading through some of my past posts. PPP has given me the opportunity do something I love, and will hopefully be getting paid for it.
This is actually my first post, with many more to follow, so I have not garnered any income, yet. I plan to. PPP’s website says that a person is allowed to take three opportunities per day, and I plan to max that out every day.
If anyone is interested in checking into this great opportunity, just click either of the links below.
Thanks for reading!
For several years now, I’ve been reading all the great posting of Lifehacker.com However, it was just recently (today) that I realized they are one part of a much larger collective. The following are a list of all Gawker Media websites. I will definitely be checking out some of these other sites.
Gawker – Gawker, daily Manhattan media news and gossip. Reporting live from the center of the universe.
Defamer – LA is the world’s cultural capital. This is the gossip rag it deserves.
Wonkette – I’m not sure what this site is, and I couldn’t find a tag line.
Idolator – When the internet came, we overthrew the pasty white tastemakers, the duplicitous music marketers and the manufactured pop idols. And then they all came back. This is Idolator. We’re so disappointed.
Jalopnik – Jalopnik loves cars. Secret cars, concept cars, flying cars, vintage cars, tricked-out cars, red cars, black cars, blonde cars — sometimes, cars just because of the curve of a hood.
Fleshbot – A blog about the adult industry NSFW!
Kotaku – As if you don’t waste enough of your time in a gamer’s haze, here’s Kotaku: a gamer’s guide that goes beyond the press release. Gossip, cheats, criticism, design, nostalgia, prediction. Don’t get a life just yet.
Deadspin – Deadspin, sports news without access, favor, or discretion.
Gridskipper – Gridskipper, the decadent urban travel guide. Scouring the globe for chic hotels, hot restaurants, sweet nightlife, and pretty people.
Consumerist – Just as the name says, a Consumer assistance site.
Gizmodo – Gizmodo, the gadget guide. So much in love with shiny new toys, it’s unnatural.
Valleywag – You people in Silicon Valley are far too busy changing the world to care about sex, greed and hypocrisy. So you won’t want to read a tech gossip rag like Valleywag.
Lifehacker – Computers make us more productive. Yeah, right. Lifehacker recommends the software downloads and web sites that actually save time. Don’t live to geek; geek to live.
Jezebel – Celebrity, Sex, and Fashion without Airbrushing
Lifehacker does their “One Year Ago With Lifehacker” post, and today’s had a great article in it titled “Living With Windows.”
This is a great article, talking about different software substitutions to make Microsoft’s OS more bearable.
However, the author, Jason Thomas, talks mostly about UNIX solutions to the problem.
I know little about Linux, but I’m trying to learn, and I know even less about UNIX, so this poses a little bit of a problem for me.
Regardless, anything that makes Windows more bearable and usable is great. I had never used the Desktop Toolbar before, but I added it after reading the article and I’m already enjoying it.
Per the PhotoSynth article I just put up, the video you can watch on YouTube says that the conference is sponsored by TED.
I had never heard of TED before watching this video, but I jumped on their website, and it’s a pretty cool group of people.
From TED.com’s About Page:
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.
The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
This site makes the best talks and performances from TED available to the public, for free. More than 100 talks from our archive are now available, with more added each week. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted.
TED’s mission: Spreading ideas.
This is some awesome technology.

Video presentation of the software: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-DqZ8jAmv0
The software actually takes an unlimited number of images and constructs an interactive, three dimensional (3-D) model of whatever the photographs are of. It also allows people to sync up their photos, and anyone entering meta-data on a similar image will then be added to that person’s image. Thus making every image uploaded, and every meta-tag added to work together. It’s quite amazing. However, they are almost all British. Just kidding.
Connected Ventures vs Microsoft, completely different work environments.

The article points out that there seems to be no one over the age of 30 in the company video, but that’s ok by me!
